Control Line flying? question
 

Hey, not trying to sound like a newbie here but I have a question about CL flying. I was just introduced to RC flying this year and have read countless magazines and whatnot, but what IS control line flying? I have this picture in my head of what it is but I am really not quite sure. Could someone explain the purpose and the basics of CL? I'm not looking into starting it but just wanting to expand my knowledge.. Thanks in advance!
